MULTI-ENGINE AIRCRAFT FLYING…that’s what is up!

Today I officially started my multi engine training in which I would be trained to fly airplanes with more than one engines, hence the name. I flew a Beechcraft Baron (BE58)

Beechcraft Baron is Beastly

With a bigger and faster airplane, comes more checklists, drills, memory items and systems. But it’s not too complicated, most systems are pretty similar to one another and emergencies are also similar procedure-wise. The most important difference is that there are now two engines so if one quits, life isn’t over! Well actually in a single engine, life isn’t over if the engine quits either but you’re going down! Basically the twin, in certain circumstances, can keep level controlled flight with one engine only. But the handling of the aircraft is a little bit different and reaction must be quick in case it happens low on the ground.

Anyways that’s all pretty much the update I can think of. I’m kind of busy and can’t think anything creative to write about and the events happening in Japan saddens me to the point that I can’t even find the appropriate and necessary words to express my feeling.
