I am a searcher

I am driving on a one lane highway now.
No other car in sight
I feel liberated yet alone
I have no destination nor reason.
The outline of the city behind me has long blurred into the horizon and I could see no sign of life, let alone civilization.
I am a searcher.
I look for things, I know nothing about yet.
I’d travel the longest way around Earth if I could, one direction for 40, 075 kilometres.
And I’d look for the things they promised:
laughter, joy, happiness, love, friendship.

And I’ll keep going on this endless road and picture a destination I can finally be satisfied with.
I will not look nor turn back
I will no longer allow people whose part is finished try and direct my path and distract me, and disrupt me from my travels.

I’ve got somewhere else I need to be.
I may not know where or what or with who. But I know when I reach it, I will know for sure.

There I will stop running away and grow old with the world.
